Lucky, Lucky Girl

I started this blog just under two years ago in an attempt to create a digital portfolio. I was ready to move on from my teaching position of fifteen years and knew I needed some sort of digital reference to my teaching. I felt like a blog would be agreat way to get a view into my classroom. When I first started it I would get so excited when I saw that 20 people had viewed my page in one day.
Flash forward a year and a half and I am overwhelmed. I have over 400 followers, average about 300 views a day and have hit an amazing milestone. In general, my blog has received over 200,000 views! 200,000!!!! It is unfathomamble! I've received tens of thousands of hits on my Grudgeball entry alone. Most importantly, I have extended my PLN beyond the concrete walls of my classroom. In honor of these friendships, I want to celebrate!!!!

Starting tomorrow June 29th and running through Thursday, July 3rd, I will offer one of my best selling items for free between noon and five daily! I would love it if you could rate it on Teachers Pay Teachers if you like it!

Thanks for being great readers.... I'm looking forward to the next 200,000 views!!!!

Green Screen Deliciousness

8 days! 8 more days... Not that I'm counting! My 8th grade just finished our Manifest Destiny unit and it was a success! Groups were given a different set of settlers that moved west and had to create either a play or video detailing their journey and subsequent lives. I channeled my inner pirate and made sure that plays were on a stage and movies were on a green screen.

Videos!
It's a bear attack!!!

Amazing fun and I totally suggest the Green Screen app by Do Ink! We'll worth the $2.50!
